I am going to try planning all my meals in advance. I was going to have oats for breakfast but I guess I will have them for lunch instead. I guess I've just got oats and homo milk and almond slivers for lunch. I will probably have lunch pretty soon it's around 11:42 pm midnight. Breakfast was a greasy burger at this donair place nearby. Really tasty. Not really on my new diet! But whatever. I think I am going to not have any coffee for the rest of the day but we'll see. I don't know. It's not a big deal. I could also have some frozen salmon fillets but I might save those for after a work out.
So yeah. I would like to have more nuts and berries with these oats but I am limited because it's new years eve so the supermarkets were closed. My plan is to arrange meals in advance, plan for them, and also record everything I eat in here. Today so far I have had that burger and also a couple chugs of pure cranberry juice. The burger had mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion i think, bun obviously and some siracha. It wasn't a great thing for my health but no big deal. I've also been drinking distilled and spring water today. Also had a pot of strong black coffee earlier. My options right now are basically oats, almonds, homo milk and salmon fillets. I have a pretty limited supply of food. I guess I will have two or three meals of oats unless I have the fillets. Or maybe a meal of just milk. Obviously a huge lack of veggies in the foods I am eating today but all I could get was the frozen veggies at shoppers. I might delay lunch for a bit also. Who knows? Also I have cashews!
Tomorrow I want to have a salad I guess. Maybe a pot of steamed veggies. More oats with berries and nuts. I also want to walk to the pool, swim and walk back. I might be able to do that at the tail end of today but I will be pretty tired if and when that is possible since I woke up at 8 pm.

Salad (vegetable mix w/ feta) and glass of milk.
Steamed veggies and glass of milk. And frozen salmon fillet.
I'm having a glass of milk with every meal cause I bought a 4L of homo and need to drink it up! I don't feel that hungry right now so I might aim for lunch around 2 am or later depending on hunger. These meals are a rough guide.
Think I might have a glass of milk with my oats and milk too. why not? life is good. it's 1:09 am, I woke up at 8 pm. i have been awake 5 hours.
Edit : I will also be drinking a bit of pure cranberry juice here and there.
Update : ate the cashews. Not sure how many maybe 100g gave some away.

morning run + food log
had a harvey's angus burger and ran for around 4.5 km this morning. more of a walk than a run, like always, but I did some running. maybe 75% walking 25% jogging. my thighs and calves are a little, je ne sais quoit. maybe i will do some running later also. or something else physical. definitely feeling pretty good right now.

5k day!
I walked / jogged 5k today. I thought it was longer than that. Have been eating like shit and not doing much so this is a nice development. Hopefully I can do a long run tomorrow.

ate a turkey club sub @ the airport. my left foot feels a little sore from the running. like a very, very weak dull ache. hopefully it's fine. recently i felt some nerve regeneration pain in my left foot, again I think because of my run. sorely tempted to over eat despite not being hungry. le sigh. have been awake for almost 24 hours now. le sigh again.
well i haven't worked out since i ran like 3 or 4 hours ago. ate breakfast, as reported, 2 hours ago. feeling okay. my back is sore from so much sitting. maybe i should go for a morning run also. my legs feel like they could handle it. i don't know. feel full. drinking black coffee and water. not going to run.
breakfast
for breakfast i had an apple, a bowl of cereal (raisin bran with milk) and a bagel w/ cream cheese. i feel decently full. i also saved an orange for later. so far I've ran twice today for brief periods of time (i estimate 3 km in total based on google maps analysis) and did some sit ups and girl push ups (not many). running is the best! so much fun. such a nice challenge. i might try some water sprints too.... not today probably though.
another run!
i ran about 2km more. could have kept going but didn't. it's kind of cold and my shorts are way too tight. dunno wtf i am going to do in the winter. i love running though. i guess it's best to ease into this anyway. should spend some more time studying russian. etc. etc. will probably take tomorrow off and then run again on sunday or monday. try for longer this time. i dunno. breakfast in 1 hour 22 minutes! will review my plan for eating. after breakfast i will fast until i have finished travelling and then plan something when i get there. maybe plan it now. go to the grocery store and get some pecans? a salad perhaps? or sushi. i think sushi. i love sushi! yah i will hit up a small sushi meal in edmonton. two different types of rolls and some miso soup. oh yah! probably good to do just some moderate exercise and then rest. i dunno. maybe a crazy work out would be good too.
my first run that i'm journaling
still saturday. the first day this blog was created. i just went out for a brief run. it was good. higher intensity than my last run but much shorter duration. it's cold as well so that my account for some of the harshness i felt in my lungs. i had to spit a lot this time. not sure what that was all about. i am kind of fat and out of shape so i do a fair amount of walking on my runs. one of the things i do is pick an object in the distance and try to run to it. i tried to sprint to it this time but had a little difficulty with my breathing and aborted mid run. still got a nice amount of distance though. it felt great. i definitely want to run more often! but i need to get the eating side of things under control. i think planning out in advance what i eat is a good idea. im drinking coffee and water right now while i recouperate. i'm not sure how far i ran or how long i was out for. i want to say 25 minutes or so. i think i did 1 block (800m?) and back, then half that and back, then 400m and back again. 3.2 km? no. half that! 1.6 km? such a tiny distance. still whatever! not bad. i'm just efficient! frankly I don't want to spend too much time outside at this hour. winnipeg is a really scary place at 2 am. maybe in a few hours i will do some more. there back 4x? 3.2 km? we'll see!
inaugural post
A blog must justify it's existence and the purpose of this blog is mostly to motivate me to workout and eat better. Today is Saturday, August 30th, 2014. I'm in Winnipeg right now, the murder capital of Canada, and dying to go for a run but hoping not to die when I do so. I think I'm in a bad area. I guess once the sun comes out and all the zombies and or crack cocaine addicts are off the streets I will go for a run. Around 5:30? 6:30?
I just did some girl push ups and sit ups. Not many to be frank. I didn't quite keep track of how many. I definitely still want to go for that run. Hopefully it's not crowded as hell on the plane again. I'm not sure how far I will run. 5k maybe? The other question is what should I eat at the free continental breakfast this morning? I guess I will be eating post run. I'll have to stay away from any sugary stuff, like orange juice or jam. I'll probably eat a bagel with peanut butter, two hard boiled eggs, two bowls of bran flakes with milk and a glass of milk. How does that sound? So long as I run. If I don't run I'm fasting until Edmonton. But I will run. I can't wait to run. I ran like 3 or 4 days ago and it was awesome. I was pretty beat after though! Took me a couple days to recover. Maybe some of that weird bacon they have. I think it's ready crisp. No. I'm saying no to the bacon. I love bacon but frankly that stuff was just bizarre. Tasty but bizarre. I don't trust it. I'll also eat one of each fruit.
That's all for today workout journal. Hopefully I write in you several times a day and write everything I consume! I wonder if it's safe to go for my run yet at 2:00 am. I will probably keep drinking black coffee and water until my run. Well I guess I'll stop like 30 minutes to 1 hour before my run so that I don't have to pee while running.
