my first run that i'm journaling

still saturday.  the first day this blog was created. i just went out for a brief run.  it was good.  higher intensity than my last run but much shorter duration.  it's cold as well so that my account for some of the harshness i felt in my lungs.  i had to spit a lot this time.  not sure what that was all about.  i am kind of fat and out of shape so i do a fair amount of walking on my runs.  one of the things i do is pick an object in the distance and try to run to it.  i tried to sprint to it this time but had a little difficulty with my breathing and aborted mid run.  still got a nice amount of distance though.  it felt great.  i definitely want to run more often!  but i need to get the eating side of things under control.  i think planning out in advance what i eat is a good idea.  im drinking coffee and water right now while i recouperate.  i'm not sure how far i ran or how long i was out for.  i want to say 25 minutes or so.  i think i did 1 block (800m?) and back, then half that and back, then 400m and back again.  3.2 km?   no.  half that!  1.6 km?  such a tiny distance.  still whatever!  not bad.  i'm just efficient!  frankly I don't want to spend too much time outside at this hour.  winnipeg is a really scary place at 2 am.  maybe in a few hours i will do some more.  there back 4x?  3.2 km?  we'll see!
